I always love days like these. You can almost hear him laughing when you look at the pictures.

Gretchen kisses

Gretchen is a dog that belongs to my parents neighbor. She seemed to really want to give Dane kisses, he's just not used to such a big dog. I think Gretchen is at least as tall as he is, maybe a little taller. But, he seemed to enjoy them!

Splash pad

Dane went to his friend Nora's 1st birthday at the splash pad at our city park on May 29th. He really wasn't sure about the water, but he was a trooper and played a little bit. He sure looked cute in the swim outfit Aunt Rosanne got him!

So, that is a view of the bottom of my wine glass. Dane has not been sleeping well the past few weeks. He wakes up in the middle of the night crying. Poor poot. My best guess is it's either teething (2 yr molars) or separation anxiety. Or both. So, here is my toast to myself!

Missed Planes

I heard Aunt Rosanne and Uncle Geary
were coming to visit.

Than I heard them say snow?
And something about a de-icer

And they missed the plane

I am dreaming about snow and planes.
There will be another time for a visit.

Yearly Check-up

Dane had his 12 month check up, 27 lbs 11 oz, 30.75 in. He's back ON the charts, 95% for weight, 75% for height. His height % went down quite a bit, but he was eating like crazy last week and the week before, so I think we are looking to stretch out here. He got his shots, 1 in each arm and 1 in his leg. Such a big... kid now, getting his shots in his arms! He's doing great and sounds like a typical 1 year old.
